Following earlier news this year about Nymphea’s departure from the Loire Valley, we are pleased to unveil an exciting new chapter. Beginning in May 2026, Nymphea will cruise the beautiful inland waterways of Brittany, inviting guests to explore charming villages, historic towns, and the region’s unspoiled countryside rarely seen by visitors.
Nymphea, a six-passenger French hotel barge, allows you to experience the relaxed pace of life on Brittany’s historic canals. Following her long and successful seasons in the Loire Valley, Nymphea now cruises the Canal de Nantes à Brest in Brittany between Josselin and Redon. Enjoy a barge cruise through the heart of Brittany’s beautiful countryside and stunning waterways.
Nymphea’s shallow draft makes her the ideal vessel for navigating the beautiful canals and rivers of Brittany. The traditionally furnished saloon and dining area have a welcoming country house atmosphere. There is an additional upper saloon in the wheelhouse with seating for relaxing. Nymphea has three compact but comfortable twin cabins, all with air conditioning and ensuite facilities.
Outside, the sun deck provides the perfect vantage point from which to admire the next charming village, historic château, or stunning stretch of Breton countryside as it slowly comes into view. Guests may also explore the towpaths and surrounding landscape by bicycle, with six available for use.
